its looking like a interesting character!! you can create nice things with al those bronze stuff :)
|
wish I could sketch that well in 5 minutes...
You might consider making him more "mechanical" looking, like with gears, cables and bolts in places. Just an idea. |

If you can get your hands on a copy of the '60s film of Jason and the Argonaughts - in search of the Golden Fleece - you will see Talus "in animation". It's worth looking at.... good luck buddy |
Looks like an interesting concept there, Krull!
|
Oh ya i remember that flim,,, great. But think his foot is his weak spot... Hehe. You should give him a weapon or make him extra firece. Good Luck.
|
Yes I saw it aswell along time ago when I was 6 or 7 my father hooked me on all of them Clash of the titans, Jason and the Argonaughts, Helen of Troy, The Trojan Horse, Odessey, Hercules,
ect........................... I rerented both the old and the new one ( because I just barely rember the story) havent watched them yet. was the one you saw with Todd Armstrong? and your correct kumar the nail/plug cept in his blood/life force when it was pulled he bled to death. |
Krul
Yes, it was the film with Todd Armstrong I was talking about. My father took me along to see it, when it was first released and I was still in primary school !!!! Certainly at the time the stop-motion animation work of Ray Harryhausen was groundbreaking and gained the man a lot of respect - for the huge amount of time and effort taken for the film effects. Since you have the film I really think you should watch it first. The character is very imposing – OK he is a massive statue but it’s something to do with the eyes (just bronze – no pupils or iris’s – makes it look very menacing). Also, for texturing the weathered bronze with added verdigris – the film will give you a load of help. good luck buddy Keith |
the film should help alot with the texture especially the wheathered effect on the bronze with greenish parts
|
kool character he reminds me of the mortal combat characters mayb it would be a good idea to look at some of them like scorpion etc
