Its nearly finished just have to make a space environment for it. I love Ufo's ;) I might do a quick animation in space. I will post some wires if someone can tell me how to take screen pics and get them into Photoshop 7, I dont really know how to do this still learning.

Johnny,

If you're on Windows, press Alt-PrinScrn to copy the current window to the clipboard.

Next, start PhotoShop and wait whilst it imports the clipboard data.

After that, do Ctrl-N to open a new canvas (PShop will automatically resize it to the clipboard image), and Ctrl-V to paste the image into the canvas.

Cool Thanks Here is a Wire Only took about 30 min to make once I had my Initial starting point. Its not a complex mesh just something simple a Lathed body some tubes and and spheres. I like to assign colors to surfaces/body parts as I model to get an Idea what surfaces and colors and textures I want in my final model. As you can se I love that Blue Grey theme someone posted I think its the BOMB. :D

Nice. I especially like the chrome effect on the exhausts. Is that just a simple reflection map or something more esoteric?

With a little something to dirty it.

Mark 14-02-2003 06:42 PM

Well, still looks pretty good.

Kvaalen 14-02-2003 06:59 PM

Looks good.
As for capturing the screen, just hit Printscreen and then in any image editor do paste as new image.
I like the textures.
If you are going to animate that, you might want to flaten all those layers.

Johnny9ball 14-02-2003 07:28 PM

Well I cut up the legs into different parts so I can do a Quick down and dirty legs retraction thingy. I could probbly do it easyer another way.

Update Space and a Blue Nebula. I think I might still tweak this.

Kvaalen 15-02-2003 04:11 PM

It looks like you should give your ship a heigher subpatch level.
It's some toy if it can realy fly in space. :p

If you want to animate the legs going up and down, I'd use EndoMorphs.

Johnny9ball 15-02-2003 04:42 PM

I just thought I would do the space stuff for fun and only the main body uses subpatches.

Mark 16-02-2003 01:55 AM

Johnny, for the nebula, I'd try making the blue layer a little less opaque and saturated. Otherwise, looking good.

Hey Johnny!

Awesome U.F.O, I totally love the texture and the "bumper sticker" about the Klingon B.O.P - I'm a big fan of U.F.O ships too. Great work :D
