I think Bandsaw pro is firstly available since Lightwave 7.5.

Hi

Can i still do the strat without Bansaw Pro?

philip 16-02-2003 12:03 AM

of course. but since 7.5 is a free upgrade, I suggest you go and download it : )

other than that, BandSaw Pro is just an interactive version of the BandSaw tool.

Yes, you can use the old BandSaw. If you have a Problem with the direction, select the polygons you wanna bandsaw and cut and paste them in another layer.

@phillip, maybe he has an older version as 7.0?

Aha... :)

Thanks for the bandsaw pro location knowledge. I was doing the McLaren tut and wondering whether pro was to bandsaw what sasquatch is to saslite. Apparently not.

It was nice to know that its in there...shame that "construct/additional" list isn't alphabetical 'cos I had already looked there and decided it wasn't an extra plugin.

Thanks for helping before I needed to ask!

I never use pro unless I'm on a small model. It is too slow. However, if you want to always be able to select in the correct direction using either bandsaw tool, just select two polys before running it. Then it knows exactly which way to go.
