Ocean doesnt quite look right...

Okay. First of all let me just say that Philip freakin rocks! I love his tutorials because they are very simple and easy to follow. I learn how to use techniques used in the tutorials to model or animate other things, and i just have a blast with it... Last night I created the ocean scene from the tutorials but something isnt right... I see really bright flashing which is lightening but it is too much...im not sure which map it is. I have tried adjusting everything but i cant back it off. Yall take a look at the video and tell me what ya think... http://members.cox.net/solace56/Ocean%20complete.avi . This was my first animation and I'm not really sure how to add a boat. I read the other threads on this but they just dont seem to help. I was thinking that I could use the same null object as the ocean. Would that cause the boat to move with the waves? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

NM guys I found out why it was doing this... I had the layer opacity of the bumb map set to like 140 percent...i lowered it to 40 percent and it looks great now... One question though... Shouldn't rain fall at 9.8 meters per second? Since thats gravity on Earth and all...

I imagine the rain's speed would change according to the droplet size. I was terrible at physics so I could be very wrong though!
