But I wanna know the differenz between male and female heads. Always if I want to model a female head it looks male ! Witch regions need attention ? Where do I have to look at ? Has got anybody examples oder ideas ?

Hi era,
there are many art and anotomy sites that discuss differences between males and females, just do a google search. I purchased a book called human 3d modelling and animation and it talks about generic differences and what to do. But if i were you i would find a couple of pictures of a female head from different angles and use that as a reference. Hope this is somewhat helpful. OzWOlf |
Ok thx, I´ll try to find some pics in the net.

gday again era,
How did your research go? find what you need? |
Yes, I got a pic of my girlfriend :D. But its not totally taken from the front. So i´ve got antoher prob there! But its hard enough for me to model a human head and I cant deal with a picture from the side you know ? I´ve got to practise :-). Do you have any examples or tipps? In my opinion head modeling is the hardest thing to do. I modeled other pictures and they were in fact easier.

Hey there man,
i have much problems thus far modeling organically - i'm workin on er though.... here is an example of the best head i've modeled (its hard to see most deformities because i hid them with texture muahaha... but its obvious to see the lack of detail and skill  ) i no longer have this model and this is the only pic i've got...hehe, but i'm gonna start another head here this weekend and i'll post it up in the modeling section for help most likely. im guessing your going for more of a realistic looking head right? Forgot to tell ya; this is a female head attempt (minus the hair)- however it hardly looks human |
Hmm,, i am thinking you need to work off a reference,,, one front and one side.
Like here http://www.fineart.sk/ http://www.3d.sk/ There used to be more,,, but i lost some of the links... Hehe |
the things wot help me knowin a difference fro ma man head and a women in 3d is that. :
1 - JAW. woman have thinner jaw lines goin inwards mens are usually squarer if they are very masculin. 2 - LIPS. women tend 2 ahve bigger lips and pointer lips whereas men wud have thiner lips. 3 - HAIR. 4 men av short hair women have long hair lol. 4 - NOSE. for a pretty woman id say have a thiner nose than a male. 5 - EYES. this one is hard but mayb eyelashes on the female wud b longer and darker (if she wearin mak-up) and mens wud b shorter. thats all i can think of really. gud luck wiv it. :D s2-speedy |
