Keeping Image after Save
Sorry for all the questions, but you all are helping alot.
When I have an image plane in and I save it, when I load the object I have been working on...it doesnt load the image plane. I have to go back and re-load and re scale. I am I not saving it right? Thanks again, Thomas Hazlett |
No, if you're referring to the background images in modeller, you need to save the modeller config separately to the actual models.
To do this, go back into the display options panel (d), select the backdrops tab and under the 'Presets' combo, select 'Save all backdrops'. That way, you can load them back into Modeller at a later date with all images, scale, etc preserved. |
One thing, it wont remember that you used that background with a specific model, nor will it remember the dimensions so you'll have to resize it again when you load it. At least I do, and I may be doing something wrong myself. It's been known to happen.

The trick to getting the images to size again is to make sure that you have an extra layer in your model. You can set this to unseen in the layer browser so that it won't load into layout later, but essentially, all you need in here is a box - make it the right size for your scaled images in all three dimensions, then when you reload your backdrops, if they aren't sized correctly, simply select the bounding box as your foreground layer, go into the backdrops page of the display options and then click Automatic Sizing for each of your backdrops. Job done. :)
