This will be my first image ever shown done in lightwave,
please tell me how to improve my work. Thankyou Alan |
Looks pretty damn good for a first image if you ask me.. maybe the glass surface is a little too reflective imho.
keep up the good work cheers! |

Thankyou for your comments S2-Speedy.
Alan. |
agreed, glass is a b*tch to get really good, you did a very good job on it though :)
|
Thankyou
Thanks again DigiMatt,
I saw a thread somewhere regarding worms of art and there presets for glass but I,ve seen no feed back from anyone who has them. Once again cheers for the comments. Alan |
Try surfing over to Phil's site at www.liquid-arts.de and look at his Jack Daniels tutorial (under 'Techniques'). This should give you a really good heads up on modelling glass surfaces.

Thankyou
Cheers Mark.
I,m there. Alan. |
He man,
GREAT looking render. Coincidently I am having a go at a cologne bottle too. Different brand though. Since this is my first go at a real looking object I was wondering. Did you use Real or Fast fresnel? Cheers, Oldenburg. |
Thankyou
Hi Oldenburg,
Thanks for your comments, I,ve not got the scene anymore just put together a shuttle system and the scene file amongst other things did,nt get saved. But what I can remember the surface had a gradient on the ref channel maybe the dif and spec and also played with refractive index. Cheers Ribbons |
