HDRi problem
1 Attachment(s)
Hi Im having a little problem when rendring with hdri .
Im using color map ,bump mp and specular map on the model. GI with backdrop only ;Ambient 0% ;intensity 100% and RPE 6 x 18.Using a Hdri image for lighting with brightness 250%. Anyone knows why there are those strange yellow points in the image? |
Your rays per evaluation are too low. You might also want to gently push up the ambient or other lights. Also, try lowering your HDRI intensity.

thanks for the help imhotep, the points dissapeared.

well here is the render ...its not the best and still needs a lot of work.
Radiosity ambient 0% background max rays(dont remember) hdri image 250% and 1 light 50 %(white) |
Coming along nicely there though. Personally, I think the micro texture on the skin looks a little too scaled up - maybe scale it down by 1/2 again ??
|
thanks for the comment mark ...ill do that.

to save render time try this:
1. in the image editor add a "full precision blur" to your HDRI 2a. reduce the rays per evaluation to 4x12 2b. check "shading noise reduction" in the global illiumination options 3. in your camera properties use enhanced low or medium AA, "adaptive" unchecked this should reduce your render times significantly while preserving or even increasing render quality. |
awesome advice! I am testing it right now with my mclaren wheels... and i can already see it's much faster.
