Orbs and modeling. Help

I am having a difficult time. modeling the orbs floating towards the sky. Look at image below, can any one help me.
I am modeling them, because I will be animating their movements as well.

Are these orbs a solid? Are they gaseous? Do they have a specific shape? I'm thinking perhaps you can model the shape and then apply a HV emitter. I'm not sure though.... I think we need more specifics on the shape and maybe whether or not they are solids.

From appearance, they are gasses. THe shap is like a "tear drop" only reversed in direction. If that helps. Now when you say add an Hypervoxel Emitter is that for the animation part?


also if it is a gass, how would I model or shap the gasseous form.?

I don't work with HV's too often, but, I believe you can attach an emitter to a null. Those blobs may be nulls in layout... with HV's emitting downwards.... or perhaps outwards and down with some downward wind applied.

I will check it out tonight if I get some free time
