My 2003 Mercury Marauder
1 Attachment(s)
OK,.. my very first model. I'm learning, slowly but surely! :p
I'm trying to figure out how to eliminate some points without losing the shape. here's what I have so far. any comments welcome. |
I like it looks spot on from what I can see.
|
Looks good, as long as your satisfied with the shape theres really no need to reduce the amount of points at this stage so go ahead and start patching :)
|
yeah...go patch those splines!! basic form looks allready good

I started over after trying to patch all those splines. What a mess!!
First lesson learned: Patch as you go! I got lost with all those damn little dots! I've run into one thing though. I have modeled most of the front end, but when I texured it the headlights turned the same color as the body. Is there a way to change that without putting the headlights in a seperate layer? Thanks! Here's what I have so far. |
Hey
Hey just select the polys of the headlights and press Q ro change surface give it a name and a basic color and click ok.
|
It also looks like you're in weight shade mode from your screenshot. Change to wireframe shade or textured mode to see your different surfaces.
|
ah ha! Thanks Wiz!
hehe,.. yup,. I was in weight shade,.. just so you could see it in the screen shot. The color is black, looked like a big blob in the first screen shot. |
lol np petro glad I could be of service.
