WIP: Claymation Project

Hey all,

Haven't posted in... well a long time, been busy at uni and stuff so haven't had much time for LW :(

Anyway me and techi have been given a group uni assignment recently and part of it involves Claymation. (Chicken Run Stuff) Woo Hoo :p

Only has to be basic characters/animations and under 45 seconds long, but should be cool!

Will post pics / updates;)

OK, so here is some more info, the animation is going to be a western theme YeeHaa!

There is going to be two characters:

- A cowboy (Sheriff)
- An Indian

I have seen a few posts discussing different modellers, how about this, Plasticine 80p a pack what a bargain!

The pic below is the character I have made, the slightly drunk sheriff, god this is fun haven't used plasticine since i was like six! lol :)

Mark,
thats the way I started, my characters were in plastilline and scanned them with DSculptor boned and ready to go with textures too. All tris and 30 000 polys each, ooh what a mess. I sure have remodelled then few times and polycount is 10 times lower. So I don't know If there is scanner that makes quads and textures that aren't uneditable as each polygon from Dsculptor had its own projection. Everytime I have a bad day I miss plastilline due it is pleasure to animate.
