Great little model with plenty of character. Unfortunatley I haven't a clue about texturing so I can't really lend any advice there.

that looks nice...only his toe on the outside of his feet could use some tweaking. can't you texture him with an UV map???
|
Looks really good. The arm where it meets the shell looks a little odd, but apart from that - can't really criticise it.
As for texturing, I'd try UV mapping it and then painting with something like Deep Paint rather than using a true 3D paint program like zBrush - purely from the standpoint that if you want to animate him, then the less geometry you have - the better... |
bodypaint
uv texture, lightwave and maxon bodypaint
GRRR!! i spend my whole night struggling wiyh bodypaint.. (never used it before) to create a nice set of uv textures... to see a the end that i could not get them back in lightwave...... Then i found in maxon site a plug that should have fixed the problem... but as i could have imagined.. nothing is perfect in this Brave New World... sigh ! the plug does not work...... What a pity... because bodypaint makes realy nice texturing... (after hours tearing of my poor last hairs, trying to understand the logic of bodypaint)... Does anybody has a solution to solve this problem or must i forget about it??? |
I think his right eye is about to pop out the back of the head on the second one...and you could use some tweking on the arms aswell...other than that it's really cool...
...brings nostalgic feelings for me btw.... watching "Teenage mutant ninja turtles" every day as a child...COWABUNGA :D |
