thinking about getting the mclaren tut....
hi there, i am new-ish to 3d, but am studying technical illustration at university.. for a project i am to produce a 3d model of the hoppa street buggy www.fubarfactory.com as u can see from the pics on the site it is quite a sporty car.. i was wondering if i got the mclaren tutorial, would i be able to follow it but do the hoppa street buggy instead of the mac?
many thanks ben |
I can't see why not. The thing to remember is that the tutorial is there to teach you technique and to hone your abilities.
If at the end of the tutorial, all you can say is "Look at this cool model I've built" then you've wasted your cash. If, on the other hand you can say "Look at this cool model I've built, and I've learnt loads. Look at these other cool models I've built since", then you've gotten out of the tutorial what was intended. Go on, get it. Try it. Build lots. |
I've got the first few,... and I haven't even started the McLaren yet :P I have used it to learn how to model my car.
I'll keep getting them,... great tuts!;) |
moved the thread to a more suitable area.. :) good luck on your modelling.
