Front door

I'm trying to make an old front door, I have spent about 3 hours on the modeling of this so far, I'm kind of happy with it, I think i might add some weeds in by the ground and the house, I still need to texture, but i'm not sure how to do it because I would like old white paint that is cracking and showing brown wood from under it.

The lighting looks a little funky, but i'm focusing more on the model here.

Looking nice, good detail.. are you aware that the stair is hovering? :) hope you can texture it as good as you modelled it.

good luck

I am using a skydome for the lighting, so I didn't have any illumination in layout, so I was just making sure the floor wasn't above the bottom of the stairs.

I like how it looks old, but it's like the rings of the wood are over multiple boards, should i change it? I'd like it to be quality texturing.

Almost there, I think.

I like this peice, but I would retexture the door, use procedural texturing or something.

Maybe use a bit map image, take its alpha and use it as a bump map to raise the paint from the wood.

Try Atlas UV it`ll break down your model allowing you to paint each section individually.

That how I would approach it, then paint it in photoshop.

But the modelling is great.
