'Add Edges' Tool?

I'm trying to follow this tut., and he's using a tool in ver. 8 called 'add edges'...
Is this tool offered in ver. 7?
If so, where?
If not, is there a quicker way (to get the same job done) than using the knife and then welding points?

Add Edges is not integrated in LW7 but you can downloaded it here:

Ok, great! I got the added tools, and figured out how to get them in my tool bar...
But now when I click on either of the EDGE TOOLS or MAGIC BEVEL, I get these error messages:

Any idea how to fix this?
