i stated a new character yesterday
a froggy woman, (like me)
i post the sketch, and the state where i am now
the thing is that i am asking myself if i have to keep the head the way i drew it or make it a little less cartoonish
if anybody has comments or advices , everything is welcome

here is a new update on this character
Changes have been done mostly on the hands

In your sketch, your froggy character does have those big fingertops. I like to see that in your 3D model to!!

looks great so far though!!!

EDIT: oh maybe make the ass a bit more rounder. it's a bit to cubish at the moment

i did the legs the legs and foot
they need adjustment still
the foots are blocky too but it is just to have the character in it's globality
it needs lots of tweaking (everywhere)

i guess that i'll spend a lot of time tweaking...
i'll make the rounded end toes, and i'll see for the fingers :)

Good work so far.
Do you have an image of the back?

Looking good.

One thing that i can see is that the mesh looks rather rather heavy running down the middle of the body. You could do with reducing the poly count in that area slightly.

here is a new update
did a lot of tweaking
did add details to the foot and the lips
reworked the hands.... etc
may have to add detail to the elbow and knees part
and "cils" to the low part of the eyelids
and try to give her a hunchback look

i begun the texturing part, it is my first attempt with uvmapping
there are the first renders,
there are problems with the unwelding of the polygon, that gives weird distortions with the texture
got to find how to get rid of these problems
if someone has a idea to solve this problem...
anyway i have still a lot of work to do with texturing before it comes acceptable

nice frog
very nice work
keep working

bullet_evader 28-04-2005 05:33 PM

looks good their dude. i only should sharpen the edges of those black spots on the skin. they look very painted on.

oh and since it's a frog, a bit more specular on the skin would look nice.

Gonna check this
thanks for the advices
have to fix my uvmap problems too....

:)
