1 Attachment(s)
Hi, I'm rendering out an animation that is about 400 frames and my scene consists of quite a few polys, and to get the look i want i need to render at about enhanced medium, are there any plugins or anything to help speed up my render times, right now, everything isn't even modeled and my render time for each frame is about 190 secs. any help would be greattttttly appreciated :)
I've included a picture of what i've got so far. |

You can use Wavefilter to do a few AA passes as an image filter and reduce your render AA to Enhanced Low,.. and if you are using the current LW8.2.1 you could try the new render methods like Mitchell and Soft,.. etc.
You could also use shadow mapped spotlights,.. which render faster than raytraced lights. |
wow, thanks so much! do you have any links to wavefilter, or do you know if it is free?

Wavefilter actually comes with Lightwave. .. as of version 5.6 I believe.
Anyway,.. it is listed under Effects/Processing/Add image filter. You could try the edge blend setting with 4 passes as a starting point. :) Here is the old website for wavefilter: http://www.wavefilter.com/ |
Thanks again soooo so much! i really appreciate this :)
