Mayan Tzolkin
I'm doing a bunch of animations explaining the Mayan calenders as these interlocking gears. Here's a shot from one of them.

Hee hee, you'd probably want to see it:

Excellent..anything Mayan interests me.
Just one point though....some of the carvings seem very sharp while others seem more worn...was this intentional? Bredro |
It has more to do with where the procedurals happen and how the light hits it then anything intentional on my part.
I was trying to make it old and worn. I figure the teeth have to grind. I stopped short of water stains and other little goodies due to time. |
looking nice Zarathustra!! :) is it only procedurals?
|
Looks really good. Do you have any intention on adding the water/moss/dirt that you alluded to at any point?
|
Very nice. I would like to see it just a little dirty though.... Other than that....It looks good. :D

Nice Zarathustra! looks good..My only suggestion is to make the background a bit darker to contrast the gear a bit..but this might be more obvious in the animation..Keep posting updates I love this old weathered looking stuff!
|
Yes, just procedurals.
No, I probably won't update it because I have a lot of stuff going on and this project is just about over. If I did, I would have to find some free, personal time to noodle with it. I'll post a link soon if anyone's interested in seeing some movement. |
