2 Probably very nooby questions
 

1. When I use subpatch it creates outlining dotted lines of the original shape, how do I make it so it just shows the points without the dotted lines? (Lightwave 8.0)

2. How do I turn .bmp and other picture files into surface files?

1. hit 'd'. This opens up the display properties. then uncheck Show cages and Show guides.

2 you don't convert the files. You use them in the surface editor.
