Microsoft names new operating system
 

Microsoft announced Friday that it will call its next-generation operating system "Windows Vista."

The much-anticipated operating system had formerly been code-named "Longhorn."

i dont really care about the name of it, i only care if it has good quality as a OS and can work nicely

... although the words 'MicroSoft' and 'Next-Gen' used together would seem to preclude that ;)

Personally I like their naming of Microsoft PC Health solution - "One Care". Spoken with a Clouseau-esque fake French accent actually makes it sound quite funny and makes you wonder what on earth they were thinking at the time.
