Square up
Ok, I have a piece I am working on where i have smoth shifted a setion. But the only problem is that it rounds all outlying parts. I need the section to be square as it is a light that is resesed in a bumper, any ideas on how to do this?

Sorry for the problems. I am pretty new to lightwave and I am having some other issues with this model but i am a perfectionist and pay attention to every detail so. I am going to be working on it for a while.

If you want to make an area look more square, then you could bandsaw the rounded polygons close to the area you want to look squarer. Maybe someone else can explain this better or has any better ideas?

Okay here's a box with a similar kind of smooth shift in it to illustrate the point...
|
...and here's the same box with a bandsaw through the hole to square it off a little.... hope that helps to illustrate...
