Wow! Somehow I missed this one. Looks really good - love all the wrinkles. It gives the face a lot of character and it makes it stand out from the normal CG face.
As usual, its always difficult to crit things like this because its difficult to know what falls within human normals, so take whatever I say just as personal judgement - don't take it as a "must do" comment. For me, the ear looks a little small particularly in the side view, you might want to enlarge it slightly upward. For men, ears tend to grow with age. The only other thing I can see (and it is a minor niggle) is that the indentation just below the nose and above the lips looks a bit too hard edged. Otherwise, this is a fantastic model, the wrinkles work really well. |
Thanks! You are right about ears they also strech down
a little with age! |
Cool at this point :) Can we see a wire?

Glad if anything I say can be of help. It is a great looking model! The only other minor thing is that ears sometimes slope slightly backward - not always, just sometimes...

WOA !! very nice model m8 !
Great work..... Ill be keepin an eye on this thread:attn: |
Very nice indeed. Thanks for the wires too. Its often the case when you see people making heads that when they're angled upward or forward as you have in your screenshots when you notice some major flaws in the model. On yours, I can't make out any that are obvious. You do sometimes have a very small rim to the nose just around the nostril where the nostril connects to the face, but that's not always something that makes itself obvious. Often this gets missed out because most people use front and side views for reference and this is a detail that doesn't show up in either view. To me, the nostrils look just *slightly* too high making them look slightly flared. But this does give him character as well ;)
One of the best head models I've seen in a very long time nevertheless. |

Very important is flow of poligons and nuber of poligons!
My objective is to create high detailed model just using poligons. This head project is to test my modeling skill and to try to create realistic model(i prefer monsters and no-like-human creatures). My inspiration is Amaan Akram's Glass Demon, that model has best face i ever seen, and lightning is sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (no radiosity just ordinary lights). Here is the ROOT model of this head and some early stage modifications! (sorry for my english) |

Very nice indeed. The lips are looking a lot better than your original (the first image you posted had lips that looked very "young" compared to the rest of the face). I'm just wondering if the brow ridge looks slightly misshapen where the eyebrows meet? Great piece of modelling

Very nice details and good modeling skills.
But the eyes are defenatly to small. Remember that you can put 5 eyes in the head horizontally. |
