Spline Patching
1 Attachment(s)
I'm currently working on modeling a WWI aeroplane and am having difficulty with spline patching. When I patch a series of 3 Polys instead of 4, the patch messes up. I attatched a pic of the upper wing, with the patch activated. Any help would be great...

Looks like you're trying to patch the triangular shape right? Can't really tell from the pic but you probably have to split the bottom spline and/or the top spline. It's trying to patch way over to the end of the wing, not at the bend where you want it.
Select the spline, select the point where to split near the bend, then split the spline. If the nice curve goes away, select both of the newly split spline and use the Smoothing tool. Hope this helps. |
Thanx Towerfan, I hope it does too. I just couldn't figure it out, and it sounds like it would work. My computer is in a 200 hour render at the moment, so i have to wait a few days before I can do anything. But yeah it is a triangular patch.
Thanx again!:attn: |
