layout question...
 

How do I set Layout up so that I can put a background image in the main view that I can match an object up to. Essentially I want to do the same thing in Layout that you can do in Modeler, where you paste a bg image and then build over it... (I know im overlooking something but I cant get it to work). thanks in advance.

Put the image you want as a backdrop, then go to the display settings and choose for the Camera View Background "Backdrop Image".

cripes you guys are fast... Anyway... What Im having trouble with is actually load a pic in Layout as a backdrop...? If you dont mind, please give me a brief rundown of the steps... thanks again

Go to the scene tab and click on the Composite button, there you can choose the backdrop image from the drop down menu.

And, to avoid distortion, open camera properties and check that camera resolution matches your image resolution ;)
