McLaren point problem

Okay, so I am working on the headlight housing and I have gotten far away from where the actual problem is, so I'd prefer not to have to go all the way back several hours to get to where the original mistake is. I think there is a solution to this, but I can't figure it out for the life of me.

In placing the headlight covers over the housing, I have noticed that I cannot inset the covers because of an area in the recess of the housing that buldges. I was about to make an adjustment around the edge of the housing when I noticed that three points are so close together that I cannot seperate them to make the adjustment. Clearly I have three points selected, but in the picture you can only see and manipulate two.

My question is, how can I get these points far enough away from one another so that I can make this crucial adjustment. I have enclosed a screenshot of the problem.

Thank you in advance for your help in this matter.

I would do it like this :
select the back two POLYs ( not points ) and tow them backwards a little.
Then select the next two and do the same and so on.

After that you should be able to push the POINTS whereever you want...

Yeah,

I kinda figured this out after stepping back and looking at the problem from another angle. Sometimes, just giing it a second, the solution presents itself. Thanks for your prompt reply.
