Maya VS LightWave
 

Who's the best, Maya or Lightwave?

Isn't that the on going question these days.

I have been working on both alternatively and I like them both. But my preference to having the Modeler and Animation seperate still appeals to me. I mostly model, so the Animation I can not give any input. I find Maya7 has alot to offer in the beginning design of the modeling part, but I find Lightwave is still easier to use and has alot more tools for flexablility in LW8.5

As they say, it's not the tools, but can help that makes a good modeler. Once understanding how the tools work, than it's design creativity that takes over from there.
