Hey All,

Had posted this a while ago but it was deleted in the spam attacks. Thought I'd post again for some new eyeballs.

Let me know what you think. Appreciation in advance.

I've had a look at the only decent pic I could find on the Interweb and it looks as if you've done a really good job.

One thing that I think that will really put the icing on the cake is if you could get the "Ruger" writing on the side of the rubber grip. Your rubber grip looks a lot more "cosy" in with the main gun than my pic as well, but its a minor point.

Certainly looks the part.

I'd look at turning the texture on the barrel through 90 degrees so the brushing is running along the length of the gun for a more realistic finish.

Thanks all for your opinions and observations!

I smooth shifted the grip out of the frame and used the point normal move to scale it just slightly. Looks OK, but I agree that it's a bit cozy with no seperation. I took the easy way out but I'll probably go back and seperate the parts.

I found a really good profile image of it, and as strange as it sounds, the brushed look on the slide near the muzzle actually does run vertically, while the machining on the slide where the text is runs horizontally. Odd, but true.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I wasn't going for hyper-realism like user sake  but wanted to be in the ballpark for a few close-ups. It's but a prop in a much larger scene.

I had hand surgery a while back so I've been a mere observer lately but I'll soon be back in the game.

Thanks again for the replies. If anyone else wants to chime in, I welcome it!!

BTW - SOOOOOOO glad the spam is gone. That was really starting to suck.

looking good, i agree with what swordsman says about making the grip and separate part, also the trigger and mag could do with a bit of detail looking at swordsman picture. Other than that look excellent. O and possibly get something to reflect in the background to make the metal more metally
