videos download as pl files (open with wordpad!)
 

dont know why video files are downloading as pl (perl programing script) files on my machine. they show up as code in wordpad and need some kind of dzsoft perl editor to work with them. perhaps its a fault in my download manager. thanks if someone could advise.

Hmm - I just tested it myself and I'm getting zip files. Is there any particular thing you're trying to download here and are you attempting to split the files before downloading or are you just downloading the full file? Also - which browser are you using?

Hmm... the site doesn't work with most download managers. The links do actually trigger perl scripts because the download files are not actually stored on the filesystem - they're stored compressed in the site database - the Perl script streams them directly out from the DB to your machine.

I'm afraid you'll need to disable your download manager and use the standard browser instead.

thanks so much fallenswordsman and mark, i just tried downloading a vid without the download manager and its no longer in perl! it looks like an excellent video too so i really appreciate it. thanks again, sorry for delay.
