Leaves without Plugins
Hello!
Can anybody help me on how to populate a tree with leaves without using plugins? asha_hardwire |
what kind of tree are you looking to create- cartoony, realistic- will it be close up, or far away- because you could use anything from saslite, to actual pollys, to hypervoxels depending on what you looking to do
here is a tut you can check out http://www.animationartist.com/2000/...s/lwtrees.html |

You could also check out the Sunset scene tutorial from this site:

i'm making a sakura tree for a short film. i ended up using particles. the tutes were a big help though! thanks!
here's a screenshot. I have to put smaller branches in there still though. http://bp1.blogger.com/_zh429A1vr4I/...R/bench_00.jpg |
I rate once you put in those smaller branches that will end up looking really good, keep us posted.
btw what did you use for the grass? |
the grass is the saslite plugin. im still tweaking the actual ground where the grass will be growing so that i won't have to render as much fur to save on power. hehehe i'm testing if the saslite small branches will work too.
right now, i'm testing the cherryblossoms some more since i'm not getting the desired shape. i'm currently trying to use invisible polys as the emitter, but i haven't quite got the grasp of it yet. :headbang: |
