Tutorial question

I was wondering, are there any tutorials or info on how to make a movie tutorial?

Thanx

Mark

No This site is all about video tutorials on Lightwave. If you need or want to find out how to make video tutorials I suggest you do some google searching.

MBStudios 01-05-2003 05:35 PM

Sure, been doing google searching but havent found it, so I thought since I am wanting to do some tutorials on basic modeling in Lightwave and this site has done Movie tutorials perhaps someone might know where I could get the info on how to do it.

So, anyone know where?

Mark

MB This site is not for teaching how to make video tutorials. In fact it would be counterproductive for the people who run this site to teach others not related to this site how to make video tutorials. It just isnt going to happen.

I believe this thread belongs in the general discussion forum. However, to make video tutorials, such as those found here or 3dbuzz, you would need to use a desktop recording package. You should try looking for Camtasia or HyperCam.

(Don't hit me Johnny!)

No I wont hit you.............hard................ But people should know that Philip or Kevin wont be here teaching people how to make Video tutorials.

Agreed.

Wow, ok!!! Just thought I would add some to the community didnt mean to strike a nerve.

Thanx for the info I will check those out.

I was thinking it might be great to add some to the free sections and such.

Anyway.

Thanx

To be fair to MBStudios, I don't think he was purposely trying to start trouble. Anyways, MBStudios, welcome to our friendly Simplylightwave community and make yourself at home.

It took me 3 months to get good settings for the movies and then even phil had to adjust them to fit around his hardware correctly.

Its a pain but we got a nice balance in the end.

Philip is doing all the tutorials here, both VIP and free, we wont add other members videos to either section. I done this once at simplymaya and it was the wrong thing to do.

I am negotiating with a another "quality" movie instructor... but we wont just take any old "tom, dick or harry" :)

MBStudios 01-05-2003 09:47 PM

So now ya wont show Tom, Dick or Harry's movies either LOL

Just kidding. I respect that its your site, I was just curious on how it was done.

I have done many tutorials on variious programs but no movie tutorials. I think they do add to a presentation so I simply was inquiring about it.

At anyrate, the other fellow pointed me in the right direction I may give them a try, who knows.

Thanx to all
