Fantasy armour

Got a bit bored at work today:D so I decided to learn how to use splines to model something so I did a suit of armour.
I will hopefully make it look a samurai meets lord of the rings suit of armour,
hopefully.

Thanks man.

How?

How do you make your spline meshes. Do you just use spline draw and drag the point into the shape? I am very new to spline modeling, could you share a couple of your trick/tips in that regard? How do you correctly patch a spline curve clock-wise, in what view do you pick in modeller to choose splines and so forth.
Thanks. Great job on the armour!
