Merging 2 points
In the second part of the McLaren tutorial, 2 points are merged (the corner of the windshield) ... but how do I merge these 2 points? I tried "m" ... but it sais that no points were elimitted.
 |
Two ways - you can either select the points and use the weld function if the points do not share the exact same space. Or, you can use the merge points function (which will merge all points sharing the same space for the current selection).
If your points are not in the same spot then you can try and use the merge tool with an absolute spacing being that of the gap between the points. |
select the 2 points in question and hit ctrl-w
the first picked point will be merged to the location of the last picked one. |
So weld 2 points :)
Cool... thx! And I like your tuts Philip! You're really helping people out here! Thanx loads! |
ah. splining. ive been using weld so much i changed the hotkey to just w. i wish there was a way to make it not show that pop up after you weld. is there a way to eliminate that?
You can weld more than just 2 points too. just incase you didnt notice. |
You can get rid of the pop-up by changing your Alert level in the display>interface options. Setting it to intermediate will display the message in the Modeler status bar.
