From the screen shots that have been posted it looks like the whole menu is going to be redone.
Personally I'd like n-gon subpatches too, as well as edges in modeler (I allow you to disagree but only once you have tried an app that uses them
).
Other than that I think [8] will be having many cool things that I've wished for a long time (like super fast rigging that is almost automated and all the dynamics stuff
).
