LightWave Kicks butt!!!!!
My brother just recently obtained a copy of lighwave and installed it on my computer...and let me just say...LIGHTWAVE FREAKIN ROCKS!!!!! I totally enjoy digitally recreating things I see in the real world, and I hope to eventually one day pursue a career in it. Im 17 by the way... Though at times when I want to recreate something, I find it hard to get things going. Like, I have a hard time trying to see what would be the best way to do it would be. And at times, I just frankly dont know how. I have used the tutorial on this site to create the low polly head and am proud of the outcome. But I am having a real difficult time making the ears. I have tried numerous times but I can never find a way to do it that looks realistic. My friend has a book called Inside Lightwave 7 that I may borrow and study since I am very new to the program. I have found that the best way to learn is from experience with this program. I have a certain scene in mind that I want to create but I need much more experience before I start on such an arduous task. I mean...modeling is one story, I havent even fully grasped the concept of texturing and lighting. Let alone rendering movement into objects and such. I have a long way to go but with some help, I hope to further my intellect with this program and create some digital masterpieces of my own. By the way...awesome site yall guys got here, keep it up. adios mi amigos
