i like the current 'green' texture on the dino
i understand now what you wants to create!! an alien atmosphere with blue sky and some sweet looking clouds doesn't fit!!! so the only thing i can say...try to give the sky some variation!! check the picture i linked!! its a red sky but with different kind of reds and orange tints... maybe you should do the same with your sky ( but with differen green tints )!!!!

not sure how to solve that murk-water problem!!! yeah... maybe some fish would to the thing!!! or give the water a little bit more brownish look and add those little floating dirty dots you see many times in ( especially ) dirty water!!! check this link:
