Okay, here's the basic idea for my entry. This is not what the final image will look like, just the backstory:
There was an old Amiga demo called "RoboCity" that, at the time, was jaw-dropping. I recently got an idea to create a game based on the idea of a robotic society, sort of a robotic "The Sims".
Then I thought about it awhile, and considered what kind of MMORPG it would make. As soon as I I thought MMORPG, I thought "Everquest", so my bots changed from Sims, to RPG classes.
I imagine robots escaping their human masters and colonizing a system of planets that humans couldn't, or wouldn't. They would have creatures, like mechanical dragons and mechanical spiders, corrosive environments, and would employ "magic" (applying Clarke's 3rd Law; sufficently advanced technology.)
So you would have as playable characters:
Wizbots (wizards)
Warbots (warriors)
Repairbots (priests)
robbots (rogues)
Scoutbots (druids/rangers)
Herbbots (shaman)
Scavengebots (necromancer)
And of course they could modify themselves to advance their "level", and to specialize their skills.
So this will probably be a zone or level scene from such a game. The bots will be more playful than menacing looking. Think of a Zelda type of character rather than Transformers or MechWarrior.
