the ship as you saw it was ~3500 polygons. Too many for such a simple design I guess. I spent one hour trying to reduce the polycount and it ended up that I was making polygons with greater than 4 vertices. I'm doing it wrong. dae, do you know how to reduce the polycount and still keep the same shape and 4 vertice and less polygons?
Also, as a side note. We are going to try to use normal maps so even if it is high it might be ok. But I still don't know how to reduce the polygons manually and still keep the surface geometry intact and keep 4 point polygons going. Then again, I might not know what I'm talking about so if not then please correct me.
