That looks fairly good to me, are you at college, uni?
It is a bit smooth, but thing is it works as a cartoon vehicle, if it was realism you were going for your not that far off it, just a few tweeks in the mesh harder edges etc would do it.

Try box modelling the basic shape and go from there, but if you want a challenge, try using NURB modelling theres a tutorial on this site.
