Hi All! Just got back from work and thought i'd give that effect a go. Tried both ideas (using attracting collision objects and the other using the "Q" geometry as an emitter - then playing the frames backwards).

I couldn't get the first method to produce anything - there are far too many things that have to be spot-on (kinda like sticking a needle into a tree trunk and then trying to shoot it with a pistol from a mile away!)

The second method did yield results though. This quick test took about 15 or 20 minutes to set up. The downside of this method is that you need some way of reversing the rendered frames (video editing packages, After Effects and Image Ready all allow you to do this). If only there was a way to make particles start outside the emitting object, then get sucked back into it! Oh well... here's the quick test!
