Hi All! Cheers for the feedback!

Yeah, I hit smooth surfaces for some of the furniture to quickly see if the specular highlights were showing up, before going back and re-naming various areas for smooth or flat finishes. There are also no textures on my last wips - all the objects are multi-coloured for easy surface ID, but the blue light kills off a lot of the colour.

As far as styling goes, I hadn't really thought too much about it. This pic probably won't be as cartoony as the last comp. (or at least I hope not! - outside of anime, not many cartoon characters inspire a real feeling of fear or loathing!) I think the final lighting will give it a less cartoony feel as well because you will only see a bit of the geometry due to the shadows.

Started adding basic textures, I'm still debating carpet or hard wood flooring - might go with wood so I can add some rugs to give the scene more detail. Just a white 100% point light on the ceiling so I can see actual texture colours while i'm working.
