@ equinox: I think it's a bit of an optical illusion (I noticed it too!). I applied a ambient occlusion shader to the walls to add a little dirt in the joins. That, combined with the pattern on the wallpaper makes it look a little odd - they kinda clash in a funny way.
@ Bullet_Evader: Originally the floor poly terminated across the front face of the door, with a second poly that filled the space directly under the door (a result of Booleaning the door out of the wall). I merged those two polys as part of "house-keeping" the scene. The resulting artifact only appears when Saslite renders the carpet - not with the hard wood floor that I think i'll use.
Both these things are results of toying around with settings, so they'll definately not be present later on!
