Specularity and reflection ... that's what they're missing...
There should be a highlight along the top edge of the proud parts of the shutter. I'd also add a very slight reflection onto them (but only very slight) - also add some reflection blurring ... that should make them look more realistic.
As for the pillars, maybe reduce the texture scale on them somewhat might help to (*ahem*) cement them into the scene...
