Wow 3Der, I like that ! I do know that you can use a procedural texture called underwater apply it to a polygon , load the polygon into lightwave and point the camrea at it, you'll have to render an image sequence to tweak the different settings in the procedural texture. Once you get looking right, then render for the length you need. Then apply the sequence to a spot light to make a movable shadow similiar to what you're looking for. I've only tried it with the underwater procedural but you might try others that might get you the look you are after!
