Hi guys i have a question regarding portfolio's, most of the time i spend in 3d is done by learning and following dvd's tutorials enz enz. I never really sat down and created something out of my own mind till a few weeks ago.
Now that i'm looking for a job in graphic arts or hopefully at a small 3d studio i'm finding myself short on material of my own, as i dont wanna use any of the materials i've learned from.( in my oppinion it doesn't represent your work as your just redoing it, it might help on the technical part of software, just so employers know that you know your way around in the program)
Now to the question, is it a good idea (with permission of the original designers) to put the material in your portfolio with some notes that you have studied and trained specific training materials, so the employer can have the idea you have a technical background.
What do you guys think about it? and this is adressed speciffecly to the great tutors here at simply.
