I'm haven't worked with hypervoxels a lot, but my first guess would be to make 2 separate hypervoxels.
The first reddish one with some heavy black clouds and yellow/orange flame. Then a second one with less clouds and more blue/white colors, and stretched on the Y axis to simulate the heavy thrust.
when you have those, just use an envelope to manage the opacity and let them dissolve into each other.
Would be my first guess, maybe someone has other ideas...:p
