No its not corrupt you simply require the latest version on winzip to unpack it. If you read the page you will find this at the bottom.

He spends 10 minutes cutting up the images. that's 10 minutes out of a 13 hour tutorial. Its done because not everyone knows how to cut up and size there reference images in Photoshop.
Anyway skip the reference part if you know how to do it and i hope you enjoy the tutorial.
