I've just created a test render of the animation so far - no sound or anything.

It's an mpeg encoded using DivX 5.0.3 at 1024x768. This is around 1/2 the size of the original stills. However, one thing I'm noticing on my machine is that I'm getting some incredibly horrible artifacts on the video - most notably the green mush that appears around the corona and the black voids in there also.

The video is a composite of two layers - The stars background is a still plate and the rest of the anim is another layer that has been keyed over black (unfortunately it seems that Premiere 6.02 doesn't like the alpha produced by a 32bit TGA - the objects themselves appear, but the corona where the alpha fades from white to black doesn't appear).

Anyone know (a) How I can get rid of those artifacts (is it Premiere settings or DivX settings? The stills are OK)
(b) How I can get Premiere's transparency to recognise a greyscale alpha.

Also, any other crits/comments welcome...
