I agree. I've been using LightWave on and off now since Version 6 (I was a defector from TrueSpace). Since I'm not actually a 3D professional, I find that getting the time to actually sit and learn LightWave is tremendously difficult (it's powerful, but not entirely user friendly for a newcomer...)

Yes, there are books available (at around £30-£40 apiece) that range in quality from utter crap (a waste of £30-£40) to absolutely invaluable (Inside LightWave for instance). Yes there are tutorials on the web (most are free, but sometimes they assume too much - or too little), and yes there are videos (usually costing many $$ - and only available to UK residents on import) but those then have the problem in that the video recorder is not handily adjacent to the PC

So, a site like this where good quality video tutorials can be downloaded for a relatively small amount is an absolute godsend.

I'm not finding myself investing huge sums of money on paperstock where you need to follow a set of written steps (so you can't see exactly what the author was doing when he wrote it), I don't need to worry about running backwards and forwards between the TV and the PC pausing videos (also having spent a huge wad), and since the tutes are video, I can see exactly what was intended.

So, guys, keep 'em coming (and as soon as I've worked through the freebie sections - sure I'll be buying points with no complaints - I wanna try the strat and the McLaren )

Regards,
Mark

Oh yeah, and I'm not affiliated with this site in any way either (in case anyone got the impression from the big up above)....
