Iīm also from Germany and got my Visacard about 3 years ago when I was 20 and wanted to travel to Malaysia (didnīt have an income either.)
It shouldnīt be a problem for you getting one, too.
It costs about 10 / year and itīs really comfortable not only for buying points here @ simplyLW
Maybe you should go to your bank and just ask for it.
(My bank is the Sparkasse)
