Just a few technical notes to add to this: the background templates that I've been using (not visible here) are from Akira Gomi's book, Americans 1.0. The whole idea of this model is to create a fairly anatomically accurate female body model that I can adapt for further character modelling that I might want to do. The other reason for building this was to learn a bit about spline modelling. With any luck, and a bit of work, I should be able to create a full body using this method.
At the moment, there are no plans for adding a head just yet - I'll get the rest of the body finished first, then probably decide on making a character out of it.
